Terms of service
Effective 2026-10-28
These terms cover your use of Extent: the apps for iPhone and Mac, the service at api.extent.sh and this site. By using Extent you agree to them. Our privacy policy says how we handle your data.
Early access
Extent is in early access and free to use. Features change, things break, and we may limit or end access. If we add paid plans, we'll tell you before anything costs money.
Your account
You must be at least 16. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at hello@extent.sh if you think someone else got in.
Your AI plan
Your bots run on the Claude or ChatGPT plan or API key you connect, and their use counts against its limits. You're responsible for following your provider's terms and usage policies. Extent isn't affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, GitHub or 1Password.
What bots do
Bots are AI. They make mistakes, misread things and miss things. Check what matters before you rely on it. Anything others can see or that can't be undone, such as sending an email, changing a calendar event or posting on GitHub, waits for your tap, and you're responsible for what you approve. All your bots share one cloud computer, so a bot can see what another did there.
Acceptable use
Don't use Extent to break the law, harm others, send spam, get into systems or accounts you're not allowed to, get around a site's access controls, or overload the service. Don't try to reach other users' data. We may suspend an account that does.
Your content
What you send and what your bots make for you is yours. You give us the rights we need to store it, process it and pass it to the providers that run the service, only to provide Extent to you.
Connected services
Gmail, Google Calendar, GitHub, 1Password, MCP servers and websites are run by others under their own terms. We aren't responsible for them. You can disconnect any of them at any time.
Ending
You can stop using Extent at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings, Account, Delete account), or ask us to. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we shut Extent down; we'll give notice where we reasonably can.
No warranty, limited liability
Extent is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
Changes
We'll update the date at the top when these terms change, and tell you in the app or by email before a change that matters takes effect.
